Paediatric First Aid
Did you know that most accidents involving children occur in the home or care setting?
Paediatric First Aid in itself is not a recognised National qualification by the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) so as such it does not satisfy workplace first aid requirements as outlined by the Health & Safety Authority.
Rather that offering Paediatric First Aid as a stand alone 4 hour course we now incorporate this with the PHECC Certified Cardiac First Response Programme (CFR). This programme applies the PHECC Clinical Practice Guidelines for the treatment of Adult, Child, and Infant with particular emphasis on common Paediatric emergencies, and leads to a PHECC CFR Certificate which is recognised by TUSLA for work in the Childcare industry where there are First aid Responders present.
Who is this course for ?
